Musculoskeletal services review

In February 2022, NHS Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) conducted a survey of people living with osteoarthritis and other non-inflammatory bone and joint conditions and ran a videoconference event for musculoskeletal professionals and invited representatives of patients with these conditions.

The aim of the survey and event was to inform the development of a new model of care for musculoskeletal services. Engagement with staff and patient representatives focused on the treatment pathway for people with osteoarthritis and other non-inflammatory bone and joint conditions, many of whom, are waiting for a joint replacement.

Ear wax removal

A public videoconference event was held in January 2022, which discussed the provision of ear wax removal services locally.

The NHS Kernow ear wax removal engagement report is intended to inform the future commissioning of these services.

Dementia care improvement

The Cornwall Dementia Partnership brings together:

  • police
  • community safety
  • housing
  • social care
  • hospitals
  • Cornwall memory café network
  • home care providers
  • residential care providers
  • voluntary care sector

Our dementia partnership helped to develop discussion themes for a series of public events which began on 15 May 2019 and ran into 2020.

At these events, NHS Kernow CCG worked with patients, carers and other stakeholders in dementia care to identify both areas of improvement and areas of good practice in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly.
