About the event
How brilliant to see so many people come along to our Truro neighbourhood health and wellbeing event. More than 250 people took part – joining workshops (in person and online) or dropping in to find out what neighbourhood health is all about.
From health and wellbeing stalls to creative engagement activities and interactive workshops, the focus was simple: what matters most to you and your community?
During the neighbourhood health workshop session we:
- Shared an update from the NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly health and care system on current priorities and local work underway.
- Explained the NHS 10 Year Plan and how we want to deliver its ambitions locally, at neighbourhood level.
- Introduced the local neighbourhood health teams, who they are and the roles they play.
- Shared an overview of local health needs and pressures, and invited reflections on what this looks like in your community.
We heard local people’s feedback and ideas on some bigger, longer-term questions including:
- How do we create communities where it is easier to be healthy rather than sick?
- How can communities be supported to lead happier, healthier lives?
- What barriers do people and communities face in staying well?
- What ideas, solutions or ‘fixes’ could help make a real difference locally?

Future neighbourhood health events coming soon!
We are planning a series of events with our partners for over 2026/27 and will be promoting these locally once final details are confirmed. You can also sign up for our Cornwall Together bulletin, sent monthly, to be kept informed about events and local health news.
