Coronavirus symptoms?

  • If you have coronavirus symptoms and need medical help for any reason, do not go to a GP or dentist, pharmacy or hospital. If you have symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change in sense of smell or taste), contact NHS 111 online.

What injuries can the urgent treatment centre treat?

The urgent treatment centre at West Cornwall Hospital is open 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.

The team are there for anyone who needs urgent medical care for injuries and conditions such as:

  • deep cuts
  • fractures
  • minor falls
  • non-life threatening head injuries

You may be seen by a doctor between 9am to 10pm and an experienced nurse overnight. X-ray is available between 8am and 11pm. Call 999 if you have a life threatening illness or injury.

Before visiting

  • If you need to visit the urgent treatment centre, please don’t just turn up. You may be directed elsewhere or have to wait longer.
  • Use the NHS 111 online service or call 111 at any time of day or night, to find out where you should go and when.

The centre is on the ground floor at West Cornwall Hospital. When you arrive at the main entrance, go past the main reception and turn right. Follow the corridor round to the left and the urgent treatment centre is on your right.
