NHS Cornwall and Isle of Scilly ICB non-exec steps down

Posted on:

We are sad to announce that Carole Theobald is stepping down from her role as an independent non-executive member of NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board.

Carole, whose wealth of experience in the third and public sector, engagement and strategy have proved invaluable to our Board, is leaving to focus on her role as chief executive for iSightCornwall.

Carole said: “It has been a privilege to be part of the launch and first year of the Integrated Care Board. I have seen first-hand just how committed health and care organisations are in working together to make sure the voice and needs of patients and communities are central to ICB discussions and decisions, so that services are inclusive and accessible to the whole population and deliver the best possible health outcomes for one and all.”

Chair of our Integrated Care Board, John Govett, said: “I would like to personally thank Carole for her valued contribution to our Board, providing support, advice and being a vital member of our team.

“Carole has used her considerable experience in customer service and strategy to provide effective leadership and constructive challenge in our inaugural year. On behalf of the entire board and our staff, I wish her all the very best”.

Carole will continue to chair both the quality and pathways of care committee and citizen engagement and equalities committee, as well as remaining Board champion for the safeguarding of children and adults, until our Annual General Meeting, in September.
